Size Guide

British Army clothing uses military sizing rather than the standard US Small, Medium and Large system. To make choosing the right size easier, we’ve included both the original military size and a plain-English equivalent on our product pages.

Upper Body Clothing

Jackets, smocks, combat shirts (PCS), UBACS and waterproof jackets are sized using two numbers:

Example: 170/96

  • 170 = Recommended height in centimetres
  • 96 = Recommended chest measurement in centimetres

On our website you’ll see these displayed as:

Medium / Regular (170/96)

This gives both the familiar size description and the original British Army military size.

Combat Trousers

Combat trousers are labelled using British Army military sizing but are also shown with the equivalent US waist and inseam measurement.

For example:

33×31 (80/84/100)

Where:

  • 33×31 = Approximate US waist × inseam (inches)
  • 80 = Leg length (cm)
  • 84 = Waist (cm)
  • 100 = Seat measurement (cm)

Condition Guide

Every item is individually inspected and graded before dispatch.

  • New / Unissued – Never issued or worn.
  • Super Grade – Excellent condition with little or no visible wear.
  • Grade 1 – Excellent used condition with light signs of service use.
  • Grade 2 – Good used condition with more noticeable wear while remaining fully serviceable.
